KING OF THE HILL, one of the longest-running comedies currently on primetime television, depicts the life and times of HANK HILL, his family and his neighbors in the fictional town of Arlen, TX.
Hank (voiced by Mike Judge) is a hard-working, loyal family man and proud Texan whose Rock of Gibraltar is his wife, PEGGY (Kathy Najimy). Peggy thinks of herself as a true Renaissance woman: realtor, substitute Spanish teacher, fast-pitch softball hurler, local Boggle champion and notary public. Hank and Peggy's pride and joy is their 13-year-old son, BOBBY (Pamela S. Adlon). Rounding out the family is Hank's 18-year-old niece, LUANNE (Brittany Murphy), who recently got married to LUCKY (Tom Petty). Hank is the undisputed alpha male among his neighborhood buddies, DALE (Johnny Hardwick), BILL (Stephen Root) and BOOMHAUER (Judge).
In the upcoming 13th season, Luanne and Lucky have a baby; Hank has an uplifting experience under the knife; Peggy is crushed when she realizes she's no longer cool; and Hank learns that his boss BUCK STRICKLAND (Root) has an illegitimate son.
KING OF THE HILL has received numerous accolades over the past 12 years, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program, a Nancy Susan Reynolds Award, a Women's Image Network Award and Environmental Media Awards in 2001, 2003 and 2005. The series has also garnered numerous nominations for Annie Awards, Prism Awards and Shine Awards. KING OF THE HILL is translated into numerous languages and licensed in almost 50 countries around the world.
In addition to the regular cast, KING OF THE HILL has featured special guest voice appearances by Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew McConaughey, Meryl Streep, Bernie Mac, Reese Witherspoon, Pamela Anderson, Willie Nelson, Sally Field, Jason Bateman, Renée Zellweger, Johnny Knoxville, No Doubt and the Dixie Chicks.
